In the more than thirty years since then, the AOSZ has become a key player in the advocacy of people with autism and their families. Together with almost 100 member organisations, they work to promote the well-being of families affected by autism and to strengthen their advocacy skills. Their main activities include parent support, national community building and support, advocacy, training, research, and the production of information publications and newsletters. These services are primarily available through their regional AOSZ Info-Point offices, which respond directly to local needs.
